About
Since people don’t like to read blocks of text, I’ll just break down all you never wanted to know about me into bullet points:
- I spent the first 10 years of my life in Belarus, the next 8 in Connecticut, and then 6 years in Massachusetts.
- I like taking pictures and drawing cartoons (though I’m a bit out of practice).
- I got the following degrees from WPI:
- BS in Computer Science
- BS in Technical Communication
- MS in Computer Science
- The focus of my master’s thesis was on information visualization
- I originally wanted to study graphic design, but I picked Computer Science as a major because it was something I knew nothing about and I thought I could actually learn a lot. Luckily for me, I ended up loving it.
- I’ve always been interested in page layouts and graphic design. I was very happy to discover there is actually a field in interaction design.
- I love traveling and so far I’ve been to: Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, United States, Canada, Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, and Italy (in that order).
- My dream job is to work at a computer animation studio (like Pixar or DreamWorks Animation). I don’t really care what I do, I just want to contribute to the making of an animated movie in some way.
- I currently work at Business Objects. Officially, I’m a “software development engineer”. Unofficially, I’m an undercover interaction designer.
