Leave the cursor alone
I think he’s talking about Yahoo!. Their website is the default home page for a lot of people (especially those who installed the Yahoo! Toolbar), so it does get rather annoying when the website steals your cursor as you’re typing something in the address bar. Surprisingly, I haven’t been able to find any information about the usability and interaction issues involved in automatic cursor placement on websites…
