Candy

I had a chance to sit in on an undergraduate HCI course yesterday. They were talking about usability testing and the professor asked “What types of incentives would you offer your test subjects to get them to participate in your evaluation?” The first answer from one of the students was “Candy.”
True story.
I suppose this would work if your test subjects are undergrads. For grad students, you’d have to step it up a notch and offer pizza.
